Peppermint Bark Brownies

Ironically, I'm not a huge fan of minty stuff.  But at Christmas, somehow all rules are subject to change.

Tell me to stop w/ the peppermint, already. Ok don't. Because I probably won't listen. Then you'll be all bothered & we might exchange a word or five (oh dear). And then we'll both end up on Santa's Naughty List. Sad!!

So obviously when the urge to bake brownies set in today, they can't be regular 'ole January-November brownies. No...in December we make them peppermint. Oh & not just peppermint, add another layer of ganache & we can call it bark!!

P.S. - I should mention that Trader Joe's (obviously no located in Texas) has an online store that I'm totally obsessed with. Free shipping on Grocery orders over $75 & delivered within 1-3 days :)

Weekend looked like this.....

When do we go see Santa???

It's the phrase we've heard until our eardrums become raw.
Thankfully it's been unseasonably warm around here; and we took full advantage! We had to replace hot chocolate w/ Milwaukee Joes & frolic in faux snow but this is Texas.

We came, we saw, we concord. Complete with faux snow & Christmas carols. And the hammer didn't even cry on Santa's lap (YAY)!!!

Here are a few more things on my winter bucket list before the twinkly lights come down & we start un decking our halls.

*Make mulled wine
*Explore winter landscape at the Gaylord
*Snow tubing
*Find that perfect shade of red lipstick (& then wear it with that perfect little black dress)
*Snuggle & eat tomato basil soup w/ grilled cheese croutons
*Watch the christmas story ALLLLL day long ;)

DON'T BE GELISH.....

Let's face it wether you have kidlets or not, time seems to fly faster these days.  Taking hours isn't the name of my game, nor is repainting my nails every two days.

Move over Oprah cause my favorite things are going to whip your favorite things buns (mostly because the average Joe can afford mine)

Gelish Nail Polish System
The polish stays looking perfectly shiny & chip free for up to 3 weeks! (Can you hear the heavenly angels singing? Uhhhh-ahhhh!! Operatic, isn't it?)

You will need:

Gelish Base Coat
Gelish or Daisy Color (Diva Shown)
Gelish Top Coat
Smudge Stick (for tidying mistakes)
Rubbing Alcohol (90% or higher)
UV or LED Lamp for curing (I have UV)

Everything can be found at Sallies but the $varies
Polish runs $14 a bottle & the lamps range from $70-$140 depending on the size.  But let me remind ya'll that this will pay for itself after a few missed salon trips & IT DOSEN'T CHIP ;) so you are good to go for 3 weeks & in a matter of bubbas nap time BAM...your all cute again!!

Here's a quick tutorial...

 Happy Glamming Friendlys!!
